Alex Indeglia joined the Cichowski lab as a postdoctoral research fellow in October 2024. She earned her PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biophysics from the University of Pennsylvania studying the role of the epigenetic protein, PADI4, in p53-mediated tumor suppression. In the Cichowski Lab, Alex is working to identify mechanisms of resistance to combination therapies to predict next-line treatment options for patients with triple negative breast cancer (TNBC), and to continue her work on PADI4 and its role in immune activation in cancer. Outside the lab, she enjoys hiking, horseback riding, and traveling.
